History of motorcycles

Motorcycle history goes back more than 100 years, when an American gentleman made a steam powered motor would be small enough to fit on your bike. Howard Roper in Roxbury, Massachusetts, got tired of pedaling your bike over long distances. Take months and months to draw diagrams and thinking about how he could make an engine steam would be small enough to relieve the pressure of his legs and feet as he travelled from one place to another on roads and paths. As engines became too powerful for only a bicycle, and changed the designs very quickly, the leading manufacturer of motorcycles, (the India brand), already had produced more than 20,000 motorcycles a year until the first world war.


By the early 1920s, Harley Davidson took the initiative away from the Indian company as Harley Davidson company had acquired many distributors in as many as 67 countries in all the mundo.A end of World War II, BSA bike took the title away from Harley Davidson, and until the 1950s had 75,000 bikes a year.


In the 1990s, there extensive work on two stroke due to the work of Walter Kaaden bike engines in the 1950s in Eastern Germany.
